Naomi, does this count as nudity?
Ralph moved yesterday from his old apartment in Brooklyn to a (rather nice) new place in Hicksville. Due to some bad planning, I was only involved in the Hicksville part of the move, and I was picked up by Tim around 8:00 or so, and I didn't get home until 2:30.
Moving is one of those things that's great fun if you're not the one moving. Tim and I have done this so many times that we often follow the same type of reasoning in terms of how to get stuff from one place to another, packing the truck and whatnot. It is somewhat disconcerting, therefore, to come across those (such as Ralph) who don't have the same moving acumen that we have developed over the past few years. As a result, there was some minor friction in terms of how to get stuff from the truck upstairs with maximum efficiency. To Tim and my credit, we usually carried the day and got the truck empty in literally a sixth of the amount of time that it took for them to get it full.
In going through the different moods available to an LJ user, the one for "exanimate" always stuck out. I didn't know what it meant, so I decided today to just look the damn thing up. It actually means "spiritless." I don't know if anybody who reads my journal did or didn't need to know this, but I figured since it was something that I discovered, I'd just throw it out there in case it had been bugging you as it had me, and if it hadn't been, then you just read this for no reason whatsoever and have wasted the past thirty seconds of your life needlessly.
