Apparently, John Williams will not, in fact, be returning to score Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. While this is disappointing when one considers that he finally hit the perfect note with Prisoner of Azkaban (which is also my favorite of his scores in years, which is saying something considering the high caliber of material he'd been producing), I can't complain too much, because he is being replaced by none other than Patrick Doyle, whose work I also really enjoy. Doyle and director Mike Newell worked together on Donnie Brasco previously.

While I am eager to hear what Doyle comes up with, I hope that he at least keeps some amount of thematic continuity with Williams' scores.

suitboyskin, when you're finished with Angel Season 3, check out this essay on Holtz. Only read it after you've seen the season through.

1) Who or what is on your computer's wallpaper?

A map of Middle-Earth

2. Go through your DVD/pre-bought video collection. Which three actors or actresses feature the most in them?

It's hard to say, as I don't usually think of films in terms of their stars. Maybe Sean Connery, Al Pacino and Harrison Ford are the most common male actors, while Kathleen Turner, Susan Sarandon and Anjelica Huston may be the most common female stars. I'm not going to count, though.

3. Go through your book shelves. Which three authors have written the majority of the books?

Orson Scott Card, Isaac Asimov and Frank Herbert.

4. And what about CDs?

Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, Ennio Morricone

6. And what about your LiveJournal user pictures?

The Dude from The Big Lebowski, Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters and Alfred Hitchcock.

Which Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Character are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Mattresses on the floor, covered with pillows, a quilt and a blanket with a tiger on it.
