Okay, it's axiomatic that having a car is better than not having a car, but the amount of freedom I feel right now is so incredibly refreshing that I can barely express it. That, plus the fact that I have this James Brown tape in there that I haven't heard since forever...
For the record, in case you need the information:
Polls are open tomorrow from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM EST.
1-866-VOTE-NYC is the New York City voting resource line.
1-866-OUR-VOTE is a national bipartisan project to get out the vote, and can find your voting location, if you're not sure, and should be called if anybody tries to screw with your vote.
Okay, enough of the non-partisan bullshit. I was going to write something here, but I found that Michael Moore has written a very entertaining and on-the-nose eleventh hour essay that pretty much covered much of the same ground. This really is a situation where the country's fate... and possibly that of the world... depends on getting Kerry into office. George W. Bush can't even pronounce "nuclear proliferation," much less deal with it even-handedly. There is absolutely nothing that this administration has not fucked up. Bush is King Midas in reverse, and John Kerry is our best hope. So there.
I am also pleased to announce that my friend who said he might have voted for Bush has said that Kerry definitely has his vote. Phew.
