"Excuse Me While
I Light My Spliff"

I was in that lousy mood from earlier today for a while. It wasn't helped by the weather and the fact that I had an outside tap where the can was covered in bird shit. However, when I was leaving that job, I heard the unmistakeable strains of "No Woman No Cry," and it brought a smile to my face. Douchebag may have fucked up the Bob Marley mix-off with his childish antics, but the upshot is that I had copies of all the Bob Marley albums from it, and they're in my Nomad. Sometimes things just work out, you know?

Double Buses

Those double buses with the joint in the middle may be scary when you're driving in Manhattan traffic, but I'll say this for them, they're damn comfortable.

What a dirty picture!

Movie Quote of the Week

The Incredibles

Edna 'E' Mode

You need a new suit, that much is certain.

Bob Parr

A new suit? Where the heck am I gonna get a new suit?

Edna 'E' Mode

You can't! It's impossible! I'm far too busy - so ask me now before I become sane.

Bob Parr

You want to make me a suit?

Edna 'E' Mode

You push too hard, darling! But I accept! It will be bold! Dramatic!

Bob Parr

Yeah!

Edna 'E' Mode

Heroic!

Bob Parr

Yeah. Something classic - like Dynaguy. Oh, he had a great look - the cape and the boots...

Edna 'E' Mode

No capes!

She throws a wadded ball of paper at Bob's head.

Bob Parr

Isn't that my decision?

Edna 'E' Mode

Do you remember Thunderhead? Tall, storm powers? Nice man, good with kids.

Bob Parr

Listen 'E'...

Edna 'E' Mode

November 15th of '58! All was well, another day saved... when his cape snagged on a missile!

Bob Parr

Thunderhead was not the brightest bulb...

Edna 'E' Mode

Stratogirl! April 23rd, '57! Cape caught in a jet turbine!

Bob Parr

E, you can't generalize about these things...

Edna 'E' Mode

Metaman - express elevator! Dynaguy - snagged on takeoff! Splashdown - sucked into a vortex! NO CAPES!

Edna 'E' Mode is a based on famed Hollywood costume designer Edith Head, one of the many highlights of the movie. If you haven't seen The Incredibles yet, don't wait another minute. March yourself off to your videostore and rent the damn DVD. Even better, buy it.

And don't forget to catch the adorable Jack Jack Attack on disc two!
