I have finally gone through my Memories Page page with a machete. I'd been wanting to do this for a while, as when I first discovered the feature, I kind of went overkill on it. Since then I have found what I actually do and don't use it for, and so I was able to slim it down very much. The really important ones are the Creations and Movie Quote of the Week entries, of course. I had compiled a chronology for my 500th post, so the need to use the Memories feature to mark time became moot as well.

In training Willie not to bite or snap when he plays, we used the keywords "No Mouth!" Being the disgusting creatures that we are, my brother and I adapted this method for Xenomorphs, who, of course, have a mouth withing a mouth. Hence the title of this post. How enriching for you to know that now.

Andre and I ordered the Rear Guard from Bucketboss last week, and we recieved them Monday. This was my second day with it, and it is fantastic. It is not heavy or cumbersome like the standard phone tool belts (which I loathe), but it has enough space for everything I tend to use. It is also remarkably easy to clip on one's belt, but you can also hang it from your back pocket (hence the name "Rear Guard"). Several times today I had to reach for a tool and I had that "aw, shucks" moment contemplating the process of reaching into my pocket and moving my lugwrench and shears around until I found the punchdown or whatever... only to remember that everything was easily accessible at my waist. It makes my life soooo much easier.

It also fits perfectly into the front pocket of my toolbag,* right where I used to put the same tools that go in the Rear Guard. This means that if I'm working out of my bag, everything is exactly where it always has been, only neater.

Holy shit! I've been so psyched about Star Wars tonight and the prospect of no work tomorrow that I completely forgot that I have class tonight!!! I have to get the hell out of here!

* Anybody who was at NYE this year saw my toolbag, actually. It was the big half-backpack, half-rolling bag mostrosity. It was my toolbag before my leave of absence, and now that I'm back to work, it is once again.
