Tips and sips...

We had a safety meeting in the office this morning. Whenever we have a meeting, the foreman provides doughnuts and coffee. Now, I can't deal with Dunkin Donuts anymore (how can you trust a place that doesn't even know how to spell the name of their primary product?). I did, however, avail myself of the coffee, which I don't normally do. I was just in the mood. The problem is that I ended up drinking three cups, which gave me a caffeine high and a sugar rush, so I was on the ceiling all morning. Remind me not to do that again.

I have started removing the battery from my laptop. I rarely ever use it, and when it is in the laptop itself it discharges because it is part of the circuit. If I keep the battery separate, it maintains its charge for a longer period of time. The irony being that I now keep the charge longer now on a battery I almost never use.

Yoinked from suitboyskin :

1) How old do you wish you were?
I'm okay where I am for now. Maybe in a few years I'll want to be younger.

2) Where were you when 9/11 happened?
I was at my parents' house getting ready for a funeral. My brother told me that somebody had flown a plane into the World Trade Center, and I thought that he was pulling my leg. We then watched the second plane hit and frantically tried to get Steven, who was in South Ferry at the time, on the phone.

3) What do you do when vending machines steal your money?
I get very, very angry and shout at the vending machine. There is little else to do in such a case.

4) Do you consider yourself kind?
I try to be. I am only human, though.

5) When you see a homeless person on the side of the road, what do you think?
Unless their smell is really offensive, I don't usually give them much in the way of thought. I know that may sound insensitive to those of you who aren't from here, but in New York homeless people are ubiquitous.

6) If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be?
If I had to? As in if there was a gun to my head? I don't know, I've never given getting myself a tattoo much thought. I have nothing against tattoos, but I've never been so taken by a graphic that I've decided to commit to having it emblazoned on my body forever.

7) If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be?
Black Speech, so I can make the sky grow all dark when I speak.

8)Do you know your neighbors?

9) What do you consider a vacation?
I suppose most people will consider a vacation travelling, but I think a vacation is any time that you have much less responsibility than you normally do.

10) Do you follow your horoscope?
I loathe Astrology with every fiber of my being. People who take it seriously need to just fucking die.

11) Would you move for the person you love?
I don't know. Maybe.

12) Are you touchy feely?
When I get close, very. Which rarely happens.

13) Do you believe that opposites attract?
No. I believe that is a fallacy brought on by the fact that the factors that attract one person to another are commonalities that are not always the most apparent traits. In fact, I would say that it is very rare that true polar opposites attract one another.

14) Dream job?
Film director or God Emperor of the Universe. Either one is cool.

15) Dream car?
Brad and I worked this out once. The ideal vehicle for me is a UFO with inertialess propulsion (remember Star Control?), but I'd take the Aston Martin DB5 depicted in the Connery/Lazenby Bond pictures too with all of the Q branch extras. Or just another Toyota Corolla like The Zen Room. That car was so much fun to drive.

16) Favorite channel?
The darkened screen.

17) Favorite place to go on weekends?
I don't have any regular weekend haunts, so I wouldn't know how to answer this question.

18) Showers or Baths?
Hot showers. I love 'em.

19) Do you paint your nails?

20) What do you like the most about yourself?
I maintain a positive attitude about life.

21) What do you like the least?
The inability I have to get into the dating game springs to mind.

22) Do you trust people easily?

23) Do you live alone?

24) What truly frightens you?
The specter of mediocrity.

25) What are your phobias?
Zombies. A great phobia because they don't exist.

26) Do you want kids?
I never gave the matter much serious thought before, but now I'm starting to want to.

27) Do you keep a handwritten journal?
I've tried on may occasions, and they never stuck. The LJ, on the other hand...

28) Where would you rather be right now?
The Bahamas.

29) Who would you like to be more honest with?
I am honest.

30) Who makes you feel guilty?
I don't really do anything that I should feel guilty for.

31) Are you a heavy or light sleeper?
I used to be a heavy sleeper, but I've been getting lighter as I've gotten older.

32) Are you a good dancer?
I don't dance. I had horrible experiences with my elementary school Dance Festivals, and it instilled me with a deep aversion to dancing.

33) Are you paranoid?
Of what?

34) Are you impatient?
If I'm interested in something, I will have infinite patience for it. Otherwise, not so much.

35) Who can you relate to?
That's a rather broad question, isn't it? I used to think I could relate to anybody given enough time. I'm not so sure anymore.
