March Off

As I mentioned a few days ago, I enjoyed Alexander Courage's adaptation of John Williams' Superman march that he did for Superman IV, although I've never been able to sit through the film. I had a pretty lousy copy, so I figured I'd rent the disc and make a better rip. First off, the movie is out of print and Netflix didn't have it, so I had to hunt for a cheap copy (I don't want to spend any money on this piece of shit). I found it, and it arrived today.

Unfortunately, my DVD-ROM drive is starting to crap out and doesn't want to play DVDs anymore. I had to record the titles through the Line In on the iAudio. They sound better than the crappy editions I had before, but they don't sound as good as if I could have ripped them on the computer. Certainly not up to the quality I need for any eventual mix. Of course, such a mix is still pending hide or hair of an expanded Superman Returns promo or boot, so I guess there's no rush...
