I have just archived my LJ and the comments (yes, all the comments
). I am hoping that there is an explanation for this soon. I'm not ready to join the mass exodus, not until I hear something from the staff. The fact that they haven't responded at all in two days despite the flood on
news (one entry already has its comment limit reached, I don't expect the next to take long at all), e-mails and phone calls leads me to believe that something even stranger is going on. I want to see what the explanation is first, but if it is not forthcoming sometimes soon, I'm going to go somewhere else. LiveJournal has violated its own Terms of Service by deleting these journals and communities without any warning.
I guess we'll find out one way or another soon enough. If I leave, I'm going to post wherever I'm going at

I am wondering if there wasn't something internal going on here. LJ reserves the right to delete posts, journals and communities if they violate the terms of service, but as has been pointed out, most of what was deleted did not.Should any Content that you have authored be reported to LiveJournal as being offensive or inappropriate, LiveJournal might call upon you to retract, modify, or protect (by means of private and friends only settings) the Content in question within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the LiveJournal staff. Should you fail to meet such a request from LiveJournal staff, LiveJournal may terminate your account. LiveJournal, however, is under no obligation to restrict or monitor journal Content in any way.
