Goblet of Fire casting

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been announced for June 4, 2005 and will be directed by Mike Newell (Donnie Brasco, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Enchanted April).

Brendan Gleeson

The big question on everybody's mind has been who they will be casting as Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody. The answer is Brendan Gleeson, a very talented Irish character actor who played Menelaus in Troy, Frank (the little girl's father) in 28 Days Later, Mickie in The Tailor of Panama and Hamish in Braveheart. His most acclaimed role, however, was as Martin Cahill in John Boorman's The General.

Interestingly, Gleeson was a teacher before he became an actor.
