The Flat Tire. Rated R for Adult Language and Violence

I hit a really nasty pothole on the way home the night before last and was surprised yesterday morning to find that my tire had gone flat. Like really flat. It looked like how a flat tire is supposed to look.

I went to work yesterday and when I came home I had to put the donut on the car... three days of nice weather and I had to change a tire when it is raining cats, dogs, ocelots, hippopotami, elephants and blue whales.

Soaked to the bone was I, but the evening turned out rather nice once I got my new tire.

I am debating whether I should add something deep, meaningful and poignant here. Unfortunately, I can't think of how to turn that story into some sort of deep metaphor for the existential conundrum.
